Question: What is coaching? Coaching a process of addressing what is currently negatively growing in our hearts/thoughts and lives (internally and externally) and thoroughly and permanently removing it to replace it with positive beliefs, knowledge and truth that produce and cultivate good, permanent growth, positive experience, people, patterns and outcomes. We believe that we are transformed by the process of renewing of our mind. To renew our mind is to renovate it – assessing and taking proactive steps and intentional decisions to put out the old, unhealthy and unhelpful beliefs, and replace those with healthy and helpful truths to achieve the goals and desires of our hearts. Using self-assessments and benchmarks, we set personal, professional and relational goals and then empower our clients with the right tools for each circumstance to achieve success.
Question: How do coaches meet with their clients? In order to keep the cost to the client affordable, we meet primarily by Zoom.
Question: What is the difference between counseling and coaching? The primary difference between coaching and counseling is a matter of perspective. Counseling comes from a medical model. Counseling requires diagnosis for insurance purposed and creates a permeant health record. Coaching is a private enterprise for the client, the only person who knows about your sessions are those who you choose to share it with. There are many overlaps between the two but one thing that differentiates them is that coaching is heavily goal driven.
Question: Is coaching covered by insurance? Presently there are no known insurance companies that cover the cost of coaching. To be sure, ask your healthcare insurance or HR company if there is reimbursement available.
Question: How long does coaching take before you see results? How long should I plan to meet with you? Each person walks in with their own set of circumstance and personal history, coaching will depend on the goals that are desired to be achieved for each individuals and their starting point. That being said, a client of any circumstance will typically begin to notice positive influence in their life in the first few sessions with use and application the coaching. Coaching is a partnership, which means that you can experience benefit from attending but experience even greater benefit in the application of what is learned.
Question: How often do we meeting for coaching? Again this will depend on the individual, a coach and client may decide to meet twice a week in a crisis, but once a week is typical. Within 90 days the client typically is able to see effective change with the right application of what is learned within a coaching session. Often at that 90 day point a client will begin biweekly appointments. Some clients choose to having ongoing biweekly or monthly sessions as part of their self-care once their initials goals have been achieved.
Question: What age of clients do you typically help? Our clients range from pre-teens to those in their retirement.
Question: What do your coaches specialize in? We specialize in OVERCOMING. Our coaches are trained and experienced in serving clients in transition - this may be emotional, relational, or professional. Our coaches are trained and experienced in serving clients with the varying traumatic events. Our coaches are trained and experienced in serving clients with medical conditions caused by fear, stress and anxiety. Our coaches are trained and experienced in helping clients with identity wounds from childhood and traumatic events. Question: Do you only see faith based clients? We believe that it is extremely important to incorporate an individuals personal faith within their coaching. If a client does not have a connection to faith we offer a non-faith based coaching model.
